Harold Brayton Dinius
1945 - September 30, 2010 Obituary HAROLD DINIUS Harold Brayton "Harry" Dinius, 65, of Cary, NC, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, at his home. Mr. Dinius had lived most of his life in Indianapolis. He retired in 2001 from Eli Lilly, where he had been employed as a mechanical machine design engineer. He was born in Huntington to Richard and Maxine Dinius. His mother survives. Additional survivors include a daughter, Michelle Dinius Olson; a brother, Gerald Dinius; and a sister, Edra Merritt. Calling is Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, Cary, NC. A service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are gifts to the Prostate Cancer Foundation or Hospice of Wake County. He was a micro biologist at Miles/Bayer Laboratories in Elkhart, an Industrial Bio Chemist at GDS in Elkhart, worked in Quality control tracking at Genecor Industries, Elkhart and retired from Kohl's Department stores. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Middlebury for over 35 years. He was a 1963 graduate of Huntington High School, graduated from IU with an associate degree of general studies, was a Vietnam veteran serving in the Army, stationed at Ft. Story, Virginia Beach, VA from 1966-1968, and a member of the American Legion Post # 210 in Middlebury for over 30 years.
